SisterhoodSisterhood offers opportunities for social gatherings and religious growth through our monthly meetings and special events. In the past, we have hosted speakers on women's health issues, authors, physicians, and organizational skills just to name a few. We have held Rosh Hodesh study groups, a women's Passover seder, and an annual Sisterhood Shabbat with women leading services and reading Torah and Haftorah. Together we have created challah covers, women's kippot with beads, greeting cards, floral arrangements and learned how to knit. We've played mah jongg, bingo and other fun games. We took a trip to NY city to the Tenement Museum which was very interesting. Some of our fundraising activities include fashion shows-- with both adult and child models, a cookbook, flower sales for Rosh Hashanah, Thanksgiving and Passover, Purim baskets to help you send Mishloach Manot to your friends and neighbors and a Passover wine sale. Sisterhood also sponsors ongoing events within the B'nai Tikvah community such as the Judaica Gift Shop where you can purchase items for all your gift giving needs and the annual paid-up membership dinner for all Sisterhood members. We hope you will join Sisterhood, take advantage of the many social and educational events we have planned for the coming year and get involved.
