Our monthly magazine provides information about Conservative Judaism; religious practices & holidays; articles by the Rabbi, Cantor, and the Congregation's President; reports on activities & upcoming events, advertisements from local businesses, and news of interest to the congregation.

Articles written by our congregants are encouraged

Deadlines

Published monthly, except for July and August. Articles and changes to advertising must be received by the 15th of the preceding month.

Inserts & flyers

If you plan to have order forms or inserts mailed with the HAKOL, you must notify the HAKOL editors (not the synagogue office), and submit the material by the 15th of the preceding month.

We discourage the inclusion of loose flyers, except for order forms and sign-up sheets that need to be filled out and sent in.

Flyers must be submitted in black & white. Colored portions may appear black when processed by the office copier.

If the flyer is also designed to be placed in the display box outside the office, please position the main message on the top 3 inches of the document., as the rest of the page is not visible in the document holder.

 

E-mail guidelines

It is preferred that articles be sent as open text in the body of the e-mail. If you must send attachments, please use only the following types:

Advertising

HAKOL publishes 10 issues, one per month, September through June. Each issue reaches over 400 Jewish households. Congregation members primarily reside in North Brunswick, South Brunswick, East Brunswick, Somerset and the surrounding communities. HAKOL advertising is one of the most cost-effective ways to reach your local Jewish community.

Sevaral past issues of HAKOL are archived in the files section of the bnaitikvah eGroup website. To access these documents, you must have a Yahoo id and be subscribed to the bnaitikvah eGroup. Receiving email from the group is not a requirement. You can be subscribed without email delivery.
